The Official Home of America's Top Professors™
This recent exhibition at the Providence Center for Photographic Arts (PCPA), near Rhode Island School of Design in downtown Providence, included much of the work from the Brink of Light/Water Rights show I had early this year at Virginia's Piedmont Arts museum. (I wrote about that show in previous posts.) The PCPA exhibition was curated (by David DeMelim) and laid out differently, with a few images swapped, added, and/or eliminated.
"Marking Our Mark" took more or less the same tack as the Virginia exhibition, though, exploring the state of nature and the landscape in America (with a focus on the South) and in particular the ways we alter and manipulate them for our various human purposes. I'll share some additional images from this body of work in my next post. Many of these photographs can also be found on my website.
