HI Mark,
You had asked about the role of Experiential Education, one of my favorite topics! At the University of New Haven we defined Ex Ed to include four areas: Faculty Mentored Undergraduate Research, Work Integrated Learning, Academic Service Learning, and Study Abroad/Study Away. Ex Ed is incorporated into faculty development as a pedagogical method of teaching a subject. We follow the NSEE standards of practice. Let me know if I can help.

Certainly. I'll be interested to hear what you're doing in this area, as I'm preparing an article on global special education law and had not yet incorporated that part of the world. Thanks.

Patricia,

I haven't brought the horn out in class yet but have threatened to if they didn't settle down, lol.

I have gotten a little rusty. I was first chair at Southeast Missouri State and played in the St. Louis String Ensemble right out of college. Also taught private lessons and played odd gigs as they would come up.

I do have to pictures of me with Pete Fountain with about 30 years in between which is kind of a cool thing.

I have been at MBU for 10 years now retiring from the School of the Osage as Assistant Superintendent for Special Services.

Sincerely,

Mark

Great that you play jazz!! Do you play in your classes? Reminds me of the days when I hung out at Michael's Pub just to hear Woody Allen play his clarinet on Monday nights. I am a big Woody fan. How long have you been at Missouri Baptist University?

Yes, we do have guidelines for the dissertation. Our program is in the process of transforming, however, I do have a dissertation writing manual that I am willing to share with you. I have an electronic copy. Send the email address you wish to have the document sent. Good luck on your program development, if I can be of further assistance, please let me know.
