Colvin Adjunct Professor at Pennington Biomedical Research Center

For the 8th year, Dr. Lisa Colvin has been appointed adjunct Professor at Pennington Biomedical Research Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Unlike other medical research facilities where science occurs in separate labs or "research silos," we foster an environment where researchers in one discipline work in close proximity, often just a few laboratory benches away, from an investigator in another field.

Scientists in 48 laboratories and 19 core research facilities are encouraged to explore and exchange ideas - confident that the cures to chronic disease will be discovered at their roots.

In this way, Pennington Biomedical is discovering the mysteries of multiple diseases and finding comprehensive, prevention-based solutions that offer hope to more people.
