When a patient’s son shot his mother’s doctor in the abdomen at Johns Hopkins, the entire 30,000 population went on alert, but was not evacuated. Accordingly to the Boston Sun, the patient holed himself up in one of the rooms there, and the police have barricaded the area for security. Maryland prides itself on being a “gun-free” state.
