In a recently televised review session for the New York State Regents
Physics Exam, the instructor (a Mr. Kaschalk at Haverling High School,
Bath, NY) explained to the students about the "Law of Conservation of
Velocity"- his words. Of course, he was over-simplifying the Conservation of Momentum for collisions of equal mass (a condition he did NOT emphasize), but I think doing so was idiotic.

What will students remember when studying collision next year at
college? Naturally, they'll remember the easier sounding
"Conservation of Velocity" and forget that of Momentum.

You can see the review at http://www.regentsreviewlive.net/rrl/courses/physics.html.

What do you think?
