Greetings--

I am not literaly a collegiate educator. I am a professor of educational technology at an Ontario university, but we have close links to a college that shares our campus and I am interested in both ed tech in college settings and the place of research in the lives of collegiate educators.

Hello! I teach digital media design, including digital photography, here at Central Ohio Technical College. I have held seminars on Digital Photography for Educators and have received great responses from the attendees. I think it is a spectacular idea to include digital photography and all types of digital media training in all teaching and education programs.

James/Bruce,
When you scroll over the "Connect" Tab on top of this page, there is a video chat feature called Tokbox, similar to Skype, however it is built into our FacultyRow platform. Let us know how it works for you, we just implemented it.

Regards,
FacultyRow Prof.

Bruce,

Our program has a core requirement, ED204/TECP204 Instructional Technology which includes all aspects of multimedia for use by classroom teachers including photography, particularly digital photography. It is especially relevant for capturing images of student work for portfolios. It also addresses skill sets for 21st century curriculum. I suggest you check out Intel Teach to the Future and research of Heidi Hayes Jacobs. Perhaps I could Skype in to your class for a guest presentation?

Designed and now teaching in the summer a new course "Photography for Educators" here at UND, and curious what your experiences have been either using photography as an avenue for instruction or as a tool in your own research...feel free to send me a message on that.
